Approach attorneys professionally: research solo practitioners and small firms (they're easier to reach than large firms), prepare a simple 1-page introduction with your certifications and services, call and schedule a 15-minute introduction meeting, offer to be their preferred notary, and follow up monthly with relevant updates.

Offer attorneys: fast turnaround (same-day notarization), flexibility (early morning, evening, weekend availability), compliance expertise (you know the rules), RON capability (serve remote clients), and confidentiality (attorney-client privilege is respected). Attorneys value reliability over cost.

For high-volume attorney clients: negotiate a monthly retainer ($500–$2,000) for reserved availability, below-market fees in exchange for volume, or volume discounts (10+ monthly notarizations gets $X off per document). Contracts provide predictable income.

Specialize in the attorney's practice area: an estate planning-focused notary offers value to estate planners, an immigration-focused notary attracts immigration attorneys. Deep expertise in their specialty makes you indispensable.
